Our cardboard cat scratching boards are the first of their kind.
Most scratching boards feel like something you tolerate. This one was designed to be something you choose.
It’s oversized, clean, and intentional — the kind of object that quietly fits into your space instead of announcing itself as “the cat thing.” And while it looks better to you, it also works better for them. The colors and contrast of our prints make our boards more enticing to cats and easier for them to see their markings on (which helps them feel secure and happy). Our oversized boards also provide a better stretch and are easier to use for elderly and large kitties.
Each board comes with a rigid matte tray, optional grip feet for stability, and the ability to connect multiple boards into one larger surface if your cat prefers more space (or simply refuses to think small).

This will depend on your kitty. Some cats scratch more frequently than others, and some homes have multiple cats.
If you've used standard cardboard scratchers before, our boards will last much longer due to being significantly more dense. They're also printed on both sides so you can get double the use!
While it does takes a long time to happen, eventually all boards will go to board heaven (because your kitty will love scratching it non-stop). As the top layer of the cardboard is worn away, the printed layer will be slowly removed and dulled down.
This is actually good thing! One of the ways your little house panther feels "at home" is to have a place to scratch where they can see visible scratch marks. It's like their way of putting down a cute rug for that cozy, familiar feeling.
As they get used, they get a faded, vintage look (it's actually pretty cool). If you prefer to keep it looking fresh, we've printed on both sides so you can have a "reset".
Our suggestion? Your fur baby made it for you and you should proudly hang it up as artwork when they're done.
Oh boy, YES! The very BEST catnip blend.. ever. We source organic, stemless catnip grown in the USA by family farms. Since not all cats respond to just catnip, we mix in silvervine and valerian root. They're made in small batches for maximum freshness.
Interesting fact: did you know the catnip included with most big-box-retailer boards has wood filler to make it cheaper? They're also treated with harmful pesticides.

He loved it right out of the box! It looks great and the cardboard is a very tight weave. Ronin is a 30 lb cat and normally destroys everything quite quickly. So far, so good. The big test will come on our road trips in the van. He normally destroys a cardboard cat lounger in 2 days.

I have a 12 yo Maine Coon and we just moved from Portland, ME to Asheville, NC. So it’s been a huge change for us, and Dude has been hiding and kinda sad. The box arrived today and after preparing it and finding the best spot, he immediately came out and transformed into a thrilled, trippy kitten again despite his 16lb frame. First of all, I love that this company makes a product that is made from recycled materials with edible ink and cornstarch glue that is safe for cats. My cat absolutely loves her new scratching board. She loves the “kitty krack” (Milo’s Magic) sample that was sent with the board which means I will have to buy some of it once the sample is gone. I intend to buy a second board to put in my bedroom since she loves the first one so much! The options are super cute and I’m trying to decide which one to buy next! Thanks for a great product! 😻

I have one ginger girl that loves cardboard scratchers. She destroys them. When I put this one down, she immediately flopped on it (she is a flopper) and started rubbing on it (I had not yet put the catnip on it). Then, to my surprise, my other cat, that prefers sisal to cardboard was on it. So the cats love it! and I love the beauty of it and it is holding up really well.
I've tried every scratching post and pad on the planet and my cat still prefers to sharpen his claws on my rugs and furniture. Neatly packaged (the outer box can be used as a base!) and came with potent organic catnip as well as adorable stickers I put on my water bottle. Cats loved the scratcher immediately and have been inseparable from it since, scratching multiple times a day. Still holding together great about a month later (maybe 1/4 used).

It took all of 3 seconds for my Maine Coon, Biscuit (the O.G. Chaos Maker), to get on the board and scratch. I was sadly not fast enough to get that pic but as soon as I set box it came in down, Biscuit understood the assignment and inserted herself into the box. She's almost 9 months. Our domestic short hair, Harley, was quick to follow Biscuit on the scratcher but I was too slow AGAIN.🤣 Needless to say, they LOVE this scratcher. They take turns playing King of the Hill on it, too. It immediately became a coveted spot to sprawl on - its generous size is conducive to the splooting. Highly recommend. My cats love this product and it is so cute!! The only thing I wish is that they sold them as refills, so you don’t always get the base. I love that it’s reversible, as well. It helps mitigate the cost to flip it over after many scratches!

First and foremost, I just want to mention how much I LOVE and appreciate that some of the profits go towards helping kitties, shelter and feral alike. Now, my actual review of the scratchboard I purchased (LONG-ISH REVIEW INCOMING): I have 2 cats, the one in the video is an old lady (around 17 years old, and still my baby girl), while my other is an adult (around 8 years old) who's my baby boy (I've had him since he was a kitten) and they both love it. Not to mention, board came exactly as pictured! The big size is great; not just for more scratchings, but my 2 kitties also like to lay or rest on it sometimes.. by their own choice.. unprompted by me, as you can see! Especially my old lady here - it's one of her new favorite spots. (Calm thy suspicions, none of this review is AI, I just actually use ";" and "-" when it fits, because I tend to try to be obsessively proper/grammatically correct when writing.) Anyway! Back on track: I went ahead and sprinkled all of the little catnip bag (that comes with the board) over the whole board on the first day, and they've still been using it consistently since. I've had this board pretty much exactly 2 weeks now and I still haven't even had to use more catnip after day 1 (though I always have plenty on hand!) Honestly, I may not have even needed to use any catnip, since my kittos love cardboard scratch boards in general; but you know, since I had it available/on hand, no reason not to! At the very least, just in case. I even kind of enjoy the smell of catnip anyway, so I don't mind. (..Please tell me I'm not alone in liking the smell of catnip!) I plan to buy another board in the future so that both my kittos can have their own instead of having to share 1. As well, anytime a board gets too worn down, (which I imagine is gonna be quite awhile away!) I plan to get a nice new one to replace it. This ink is my favorite so far, but I also like a lot of the others and I like diversity, so I'll probably try a new ink anytime I get a new board!
Pippa is enjoying her new scratcher box (she prefers it in the original box which doubles as a resting place). She was a bit suspicious at first and did not scratch but has started using it regularly in her scratching routine. She prefers to use it without catnip. Despite her razor-sharp claws, we expect this one to last much longer than the old model! The cardboard is very dense and of good quality with no mess after scratching. And we love the design.
Not only does she love her scratching board more than anything. We’ve introduced to our sweet Gigi… The box with a slightly use scratching pad in it makes the very best bed ever according to her. She is our rescue kitty who previously lived under our neighbors deck, and even though I’ve introduced a multitude of fancy beds and baskets the box with your fabulous scratching board in it is the all-time number one hit.

This was one of the best purchases I have made for our 2 cats. Millie loves it the most !! She used both the box and the board immediately. We traveled to the mountains for a month with both cats in tow and brought the box and board with us. Thank goodness w did because they enjoy it in the vacation cabin just as much as they do at home. Color wasn’t as expected. The yellow doesn’t pop at all, it’s more grey than yellow but overall my cats are happy.
