Our cardboard cat scratching boards are the first of their kind.
Most scratching boards feel like something you tolerate. This one was designed to be something you choose.
It’s oversized, clean, and intentional — the kind of object that quietly fits into your space instead of announcing itself as “the cat thing.” And while it looks better to you, it also works better for them. The colors and contrast of our prints make our boards more enticing to cats and easier for them to see their markings on (which helps them feel secure and happy). Our oversized boards also provide a better stretch and are easier to use for elderly and large kitties.
Each board comes with a rigid matte tray, optional grip feet for stability, and the ability to connect multiple boards into one larger surface if your cat prefers more space (or simply refuses to think small).

This will depend on your kitty. Some cats scratch more frequently than others, and some homes have multiple cats.
If you've used standard cardboard scratchers before, our boards will last much longer due to being significantly more dense. They're also printed on both sides so you can get double the use!
While it does takes a long time to happen, eventually all boards will go to board heaven (because your kitty will love scratching it non-stop). As the top layer of the cardboard is worn away, the printed layer will be slowly removed and dulled down.
This is actually good thing! One of the ways your little house panther feels "at home" is to have a place to scratch where they can see visible scratch marks. It's like their way of putting down a cute rug for that cozy, familiar feeling.
As they get used, they get a faded, vintage look (it's actually pretty cool). If you prefer to keep it looking fresh, we've printed on both sides so you can have a "reset".
Our suggestion? Your fur baby made it for you and you should proudly hang it up as artwork when they're done.
Oh boy, YES! The very BEST catnip blend.. ever. We source organic, stemless catnip grown in the USA by family farms. Since not all cats respond to just catnip, we mix in silvervine and valerian root. They're made in small batches for maximum freshness.
Interesting fact: did you know the catnip included with most big-box-retailer boards has wood filler to make it cheaper? They're also treated with harmful pesticides.

This is Indy sitting in his Koi pond. He is claiming it for himself from his 2 brothers. Of my 3 boys, 2 (I thought) were vertical scratchers - the couch arms can attest. One cat (Otis) is a horizontal scratchers so I ordered these boards for him specifically, but they have been a big hit with all 3!
One of my cats is obsessed with cardboard scratchers. We have a lot of other more durable types but he clearly prefers cardboard. These scratchers were an immediate hit and have become the main one he uses, both the scratch and flop on. Will definitely buy again.

Our 3 cats loved it so much, we would find them competing for space on it so we ordered a second board. They even love the box it comes in! The scratching board is densely constructed so it seems it will last a long time. The catnip is a nice bonus!

Our cat, Alice, has had other scratch pads, but none that she loves like this one. We got her first one last Christmas and she's still not tired of it! She sits on it, lays on it to "watch TV," and naps on it. It's holding up very well despite all the use. We just bought another as a back-up so we always have one at the ready. I don't know what is different about this product than other similar ones, but she sticks to this like glue and no catnip is even needed. Alice's motto: "Scratchboard is life!" 😄

My cat looked at me with newfound admiration and respect the day I put this out, lol. She’s a big girl. A horizontal scratcher and rug snatcher. I worried at first that this would be too small, glancing at the “oversized” measurements with a hint of skepticism. My fears were unfounded. I kept it in the box to increase square footage (adorable print on the inside, btw. It looks like a Ouija board. I have indeed placed a cat “here.”) The cats sprawl luxuriously, sampling the various textures. The print is gorgeous, and I love that this scratcher is double-sided. It seems durable and is holding up well so far. Most importantly, the cats love it. With sprinkle of catnip, the big cat took to it right away, rolling around and scratching with increased vigor, like she knew it was tough enough to withstand real feline outrage. She visits it several times a day, and put in a request with management just yesterday to have the catnip freshened. A+ solid product made by people who know cats.
This board is a HUGE hit for my cats. It's now "home base" and they often argue who's going to get on the throne. I'm VERY disappointed though at their customer service (or lack there of). I emailed twice regarding the 2nd board, of the two I ordered, that came damaged. I sent pictures and offered to ship it back and I got nothing back but silence. Second email a week later, and still NOTHING. Poor customer service indeed. But the other board is being used every day and we love it.
Just as described - very dense, high quality material. After a month it is only starting to fray a little. The cats use it daily for scratching and perching. I love the design and that it’s two-sided. Also your packaging was adorable. We will buy again!

These scratch pads are gorgeous! I purchased the koi pond version for my cats and my boyfriend’s cat. One of my cats regularly sits on it and scratches it and he typically doesn’t go for scratch pads.

GingerSnap went right to it and scratched to her heart’s content! She uses all the time, and you can hardly tell. The tighter construction seems to be withstanding better. No cardboard mess like the typical ones I have to constantly clean up. Graphics are beautiful(both sides). Gin has her own Koi pond! We are very happy!

The entire process from ordering through delivery was easy & straightforward and the product I received is exactly as pictured. My girl likes to shred the cardboard, eat it and redeposit on the rug. 🙄 The excellent density of these boards slows this program down and makes it a little easier for me to get to the litter before she can.
